Leaving the pub, Luke pauses for a moment and glances at Snatchy in his leather jacket.

With a hint of a smile, he pulled him out and placed him on his shoulder.
For a while they looked at the town and its inhabitants, unaware that there were two creatures among them who had probably kidnapped little Daisy.

Before starting to walk, Luke took a quick look at the mug shot and gave it to Snatchy, and he has given a look to the creatures that were walking on the sidewalk.
What he hoped was to meet those faces in a less possible time, but what Snatchy told him discouraged him.

“You don’t think you’ll find them right away,” but in the meantime, the wooden puppet also looked at every inhabitant they met.
They both knew that the chances were minimal, but they tried anyway.

They had taken the direction that Sam’s helper had told them, and the further they went into this part of the city, the more the bustle of the city diminished, and everything around them became darker and the silence passed them by.

Luke began to feel that Snatchy was trembling like a leaf, and gently, he picked him up and looked straight into his big carved eyes, he has smiled at him, and without saying anything, Luke has put the wooden puppet in the inside pocket of his jacket.
Inside, Snatchy pulled out his thin face and thanked him with such gentleness.
Luke just gave him a sweet smile and continued on his way.

In the end, they had arrived in a lonely suburb of this city that perhaps only a few of them knew.
Walking through it, they have met some creatures fallen in disgrace.
They looked at Luke and Snatchy as if they had seen ghosts.
Their gazes were empty, and in some of these creatures Luke could see that they were about to lose their souls, and some others were begging to have them taken away.

Snatchy was really scared looking at those scenes, and more those creatures: ghosts of themselves coming closer to Luke, trying to touch him, Snatchy was hiding more in that bag, pulling out only his eyes to see what was happening, but Luke could feel his trembling, and with a soft tone of voice, he tried to calm him.

It seemed a mission impossible, but as it got really slow, Snatchy has come out, and he returned to Luke’s shoulder, the wooden puppet has started to look around, and in a sigh, he asked to Luke: “What’s happened to them?” Tightening his cowboy as support, Luke has slowly lifted his face towards him, not knowing what answer to give.

Walking in this dark part of town seemed to be in another dimension.
Street lamps were spreading blue light on the concrete, and those glances of those creatures was full of an impressive desire to make it end, and in the inside, had scared even Luke, but he knew to go deeper to find something that it would lead to the hidden place, or at least where those two big beasts housing.

Luke continued to walk in the middle of the street, which was empty of cars and other inhabitants, but only populated by these rejected creatures.
Luke’s heart started beating like crazy when he realised that he was staring at a dead creature that had been devoured by a large group of insects.

And now he seemed more upset than Snatchy.
Snatchy stared at the scene without any reaction. In a way, he seemed to be looking at a thing that he had lived, and in a single sentence, he said: “It’s the law of the jungle. If I hadn’t ever met Daisy, I wouldn’t be here with you now”.

Beyond this macabre scene of death, Snatchy has looked at it for the last time and he has begun to tell what even he had hoped to forget.
Luke took his hand and the wooden puppet began to tell an unexpected story.”
